Design Technology

At St Mary's, our Design and Technology curriculum is ambitious, coherently sequenced and meticulously designed to ensure every pupil develops the creativity, technical knowledge and practical competence needed to excel as innovative problem-solvers in an ever-changing world.

We follow the Kapow Primary Design and Technology Scheme of Work, which provides a rigorous and progressive curriculum structure. This ensures pupils build securely on prior learning, revisit key concepts through spaced repetition, and deepen their understanding across the four key strands of DT: Design, Make, Evaluate and Technical Knowledge, alongside Cooking and Nutrition.
