As a Voluntary Aided school St. Mary’s receives capital funding from the Government each year towards the maintenance of the building and IT costs. The Governors’ fund must contribute 10% towards any bill we pay using this funding. However, in recent years this Government funding has been cut drastically and we are increasingly having to pay for maintenance and improvement work wholly from the Governors’ fund.
The Governors’ fund is therefore critical to maintain and improve the school buildings and to provide a higher standard of learning facilities that will make the children’s environment safer and more enjoyable.

Your continued support of the scheme is an essential part of the financial structure of the school and will continue to enable the school to deliver the best possible education for its pupils.
The suggested contribution is £10 per month for the first child and less for additional children at the school – fully subject to your affordability. The payments are typically paid monthly by standing order or a single cash/cheque contribution for the year. Any contribution you make, whether it is more or less than the suggested amount, is very gratefully received.
Please complete the attached form to indicate your preference. Please also ensure that you complete the Gift Aid form if you are a UK taxpayer.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all of you who have supported the school through your contributions to the Governors’ fund.
