SEND at St Mary's

At St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School, we are committed to providing an inclusive environment where every child is valued, supported, and able to reach their full potential. We celebrate the diversity of our students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring that they receive personalised support. Our dedicated team of staff works closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to create a nurturing and accessible learning experience for all. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we are proud to offer a range of interventions and resources to ensure that all children feel confident and successful in their learning journey.
We identify the special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) of our students through a thorough process involving observation, assessments, and ongoing discussions with parents, carers, and relevant professionals, such as GPs, school nurses, and other health agencies. We work closely with parents and carers at every stage, ensuring they are actively involved and invited to attend meetings with our SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and support services.
To learn more about our SEND provision, please read our school SEN policy. If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to contact our SENCO, Miss Davis.
